Fostering Diversity and Inclusion at the Workplace

Jakarta, 12 August 2024 – In an ongoing effort to promote inclusive work environments, Radita Sonix, founder of IQ DEVPRO®, recently delivered a compelling lecture and training session titled “Fostering a Diversity and Inclusion Culture at the Workplace.” The event was organized by MojadiPro and tailored specifically for Sinarmas Land, a leading real estate developer in Indonesia.

The event was conducted in four sessions with a cumulative participation of 400 individuals. Radita Sonix was one of three expert trainers leading these sessions. The training was held online, allowing for a broader reach and ensuring that participants from various locations could benefit from the insights and strategies discussed. The training focused on the critical importance of cultivating a culture of diversity and inclusion within organizations, particularly in the real estate industry. Radita outlined several key strategies for fostering a culture of inclusion, including the importance of inclusive leadership, fair recruitment practices, and the development of policies that promote equity. He shared real-world case studies that demonstrated the successful implementation of D&I initiatives by leading companies, offering valuable lessons and best practices that participants could apply within their own organizations.

A significant portion of the training was dedicated to addressing common challenges in implementing diversity and inclusion, such as resistance to change and unconscious biases. Radita provided practical solutions to overcome these obstacles, ensuring that participants left with actionable insights and a clear path forward.

One of the key takeaways from the session was the emphasis on the measurable benefits of D&I, such as higher employee engagement, reduced turnover, and improved problem-solving capabilities within diverse teams. Radita highlighted that companies with diverse executive teams are significantly more likely to outperform their peers in profitability, making diversity and inclusion not just a social imperative but a strategic business priority.
